This gift in a jar M&M cookie recipe makes a great gift. Valentine’s Day is coming up soon and this is a nice gift idea for someone that loves cookies and M&Ms too.

M & M Cookie Mix
1-1/4 cups granulated sugar
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup M&M candies

Layer ingredients in the order given, combining flour and baking powder and baking soda. Pack each layer in place before adding next ingredient. Attach the following directions to the jar.

1 jar M&M Cookie Mix
3/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 tsp. vanilla

Preheat oven to 375. In a large bowl, cream butter, eggs and vanilla. Add M&M Cookie Mix and stir until mixture is well blended. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes. Transfer to wire racks to cool.
YIELD: 3-4 dozen cookies.
